If you’re travelling a wide choice of bars and cafes can be found after security at Malaga Airport. There are numerous places to sit and have a coffee and snack. Public Zone is open to everyone and can be upstairs in the Departure Area or downstairs in the Arrivals Area. Cafes, Bars and Restaurants at Malaga Airport Spain in general has become much better when it comes to intolerances and allergies but of course you may find that the airport is limited for choice. If you have any food allergies or intolerances, be sure to let the staff know when ordering or ask for alternatives / suggestions. It´s also really handing if your flight is delayed. Unless you have a Priority Card or a ticket which allows you to enter free of charge, you may feel it´s a little expensive, but it´s more about being in a quiet area with free wifi and being able to continue to work, read or just relax. We are not big eaters when it comes to airports and boarding a flight so this suits us perfectly. It serves the basics like toast, olives, biscuits and pastries. We often sit and eat at the VIP Lounge, which has also been renovated. ![]() Just outside the Arrivals Halls is Caffe Di Fiore which is really handy if you’re catching a bus and there´s also Starbucks upstairs in Departures along with numerous other cafes and also Burger King. Whether you´re picking people up at Arrivals or having a lengthy goodbye in the public Departures Hall, there are numerous places to sit and wait. In fact there are quite a lot of vending machines with snacks and drinks. The good news is that you can now buy water in the vending machines for 1€. There’s Jamie Oliver’s Deli, Bibo by Dani Garcia, Kirei by Kabuki and lots more. Like most airports, the food and drink isn´t cheap, so don´t be shocked when you get the bill for 10€/15€ for a sandwich and water and if you have any dietary restrictions, we highly advise you take something with you.
